A man is found stabbed to death in his office. It is known that he was alive when the last of his coworkers left, and that the sole other entity remaining with him was a guardian robot, programmed to protect the man at any cost. The robot claims that no one entered the office, and that it did not kill the victim; various scientific testing shows that the robot is functioning normally.
